Saving City Tails supports shelters and organizations that are proactive in getting their pets adopted. Adoption programs need strong marketing, which today, is predominantly digital. A common barrier to adoption is that shelter organizations lack accessible hours.
Saving City Tails believes that in order to increase the number of adoptees, shelters should put themselves in the potential adoptees shoes. The public is most likely to visit a shelter after normal business hours or on the weekend. However, many shelters are closed during all of these high traffic hours.
Saving City Tails also believes in waiving adoption fees as much as possible. Foster – to – adopt programs are also impactful. These programs are beneficial because they take pressure off the potential adoptee, while simultaneously freeing up space within the shelter for more dogs and cats that need help.
